The sky in Namba, the thoughts of high school students!
High school students, why don't you bring the thoughts you have put into your writing to the world from Namba?
We will print "artistic works of calligraphy and painting" on a large banner and exhibit them in the arcade of the Eishinbashi shopping street as a whole. Eishinbashi is the main street of Namba with a 400-year history. This place connects Namba Square and Dotonbori and is a place where many people pass through every day. Your artwork will brighten up the city. This should be a valuable experience for you to convey your own words and expressions to society.
This art and calligraphy project is a project to deliver a message from Osaka to the world together with high school students. Please join this change.
Recruitment Guidelines
① Eligible worksCalligraphic works combining letters and images drawn with a brush
Theme 1: "Every day, thoughts of gratitude"[June Exhibition]
Family, friends, teachers, teammates in sports clubs, the city and place, things, and time—express freely the people you want to express gratitude to.
Application deadline: May 11 (Mon)
Exhibition period: June 1 (Mon) – June 14 (Sun)
Theme II:To the future, what I can do」 [October Exhibition]
What you want to protect, what you want to change, and the future you want to realize. The topics are free to choose from: the global environment, peace, human rights, dreams, and the happiness we all share.
Application deadline: September 28 (Mon)Required
Exhibition period: October 19 (Mon) – November 1 (Sun)
②Notes on paper size and color
● Size
Horizontal (width:height ratio 3.0:1.8) Example: 33.4×20cm (cursive paper) / 35×21cm (kaizen paper)
The size of the big banner (curtain) is 3 meters wide and 1.8 meters high. When drawn in the above size, it will fit exactly within the gray area shown in the image below.
*If you wish, we will send you a sheet of Japanese paper. Please contact the secretariat by phone or email.
*Colored clay for painting is also provided on a club-by-club basis.
● Color Notes
The artwork is transferred onto the banner. Fluorescent colors and extremely thin colors may not be reproduced in the finished product.
③ Participation requirements
Residents of Osaka Prefecture aged 15 to 18 ※ High school students or those currently employed or seeking employment are not required to apply.

④Selection method and announcement of results
In keeping with the theme, works suitable for the arcade displays in the Eirushi Bridge Shopping Street will be selected by a panel of judges composed of store district officials and experts.
*The selection results will be notified via email within a few days after the deadline for each theme.
*The work introduction will be done in accordance with the time when the banner is displayed.
*The certificate will be handed out through the school for students who are currently enrolled, or individually to those who are not currently enrolled.

● Description of the content

• Title of the work
- The purpose of the work (within 200 characters): Please write about the reason you chose the theme and your thoughts.
● About the shooting of the work
• Take the photo from above so that the entire work is photographed straight.
• The background is kept plain, and the photos are taken on white paper or board, etc.
• Take the photos in bright light and be careful not to have shadows or reflections.
• Wrinkles and folds are removed as much as possible before taking the photo.
• Smartphone and tablet: Digital cameras are all compatible.
• No image processing (such as changing the color tone). Only cropping is allowed.
● Conditions for image data
• Format: JPEG (JPG) or PNG
• Resolution: Approx. 2000px in length (minimum 1500px or more)
• Size: Less than 2MB per file
*We will conduct a review based on the submitted image data.

- When introducing the work, the name and school name will be listed.

This community FM station is located in Chuo Ward, Osaka City. On the radio wave, it can be heard in the Chuo Ward area of Osaka City and its surrounding areas, and also in areas where the radio wave cannot be received due to internet access issues. It broadcasts programs specializing in administrative and event information for the Minami area of Osaka, as well as programs featuring many Hibino Gikai-affiliated entertainers and idols who operate from Osaka. The satellite studio is located on the 1st floor of Namba Grand Haisyu Building.
About the exhibition venue
The location is a shopping street with about 100 stores, stretching from Takashimaya Osaka to Tsutaya Ebisu.
It is a shopping street on the south side of Ebisubashi Bridge, where you can see the Grikoshin Bridge. It has a history dating back to the Edo period.
